MLC Calibration

Semi-automatic MLC- und jaw calibration by means of Electronic Portal Imaging Device (EPID)

Preconditons:

  • Dosimetric calibrated EPID
  • Known central axis (CAx)

Electronic Portal Images (EPIs) are acquired from predefined field descriptions and the actual jaw and leaf positions are determined out of their particular penumbras. With this method, it is possible to verify and calibrate leaves and jaws within an accuracy of < 1 mm.
